Our Advanced IT Support Technician Diploma takes you through the essential skills to work as an effective IT Technician and help set you up to take a professional CompTIA IT certification* if desired.

CompTIA A+ provides the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in PC support. This course is designed to help you learn the skills required to gain an internationally recognised and endorsed IT accreditation.
The Network+ course will give you all the knowledge and skills you need to get a job as a Network or System Administrator. You will also gain necessary skills needed to gain a Network + certification.
This course will help you progress your IT and network administration knowledge and help you understand systems security. Successful completion of this course means you would be well placed to go on and gain the CompTIA Security+ qualification.
In addition to the core courses, you also choose one additional elective course. Below is a list of recommended courses but there is a wider list available. Please speak to a Course Advisor for full details of how best to tailor this Diploma to your requirements.
The CompTIA Cloud+ course is designed for those that already have experience in the IT industry and who now wish to work in a Cloud Computing environment and need technical understanding of cloud infrastructure and environment.
MTA Database Administrator Fundamentals is the first step on the path to becoming a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or Database Developer.
Split into four engaging parts, this course takes you through the full life cycle of a project in terms of defining what it is, planning every aspect, implementation, completion and evaluation of a project.
If you’re working towards a career as an IT security specialist working with Microsoft Windows servers and network operating systems, the MTA Security Fundamentals course from Pitman Training is the perfect choice.
The Communication Skills for IT Specialists course is designed to help you effectively engage with your audience and is specifically geared toward working in a technical environment.

Requesting funding from your employers needn’t be a daunting task. Many employers support and encourage their employees with their professional development and consider it a worthwhile investment to fund any training required.
What we can help with:
There may be the opportunity to apply for funded grants that can help towards the cost of training. These include the Skills Development Scotland ITAs and the ReAct programme in Wales. All schemes will have different terms and conditions that will need to be met in order to qualify for a grant and these are managed by each individual centre.
